Umm Al Quwain Police General Command announced the start of the application of the smart reservation service for vehicles violating the traffic law at home instead of impounding them in the vehicle seizure yard, starting from the date of September 28, 2020, by installing an electronic device in the vehicles to be impounded within the framework of the Umm Al Quwain Police’s endeavor Al Quwain to promote smart transformation in service delivery.
Colonel Saeed Obaid bin Aran, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Umm Al Quwain Police, explained that the activation of the smart vehicle reservation service came to facilitate the dealers’ reservation of their vehicles in their homes away from the vehicle impound yard, by installing an electronic device that is followed up and direct notifications are sent to those concerned with monitoring the movement of vehicles. He added that the customer can request the service by coming with his vehicle to the Traffic and Licensing Services Center and submitting the request, then a technical team will install the device and link it electronically with the violations system and the 24-hour monitoring system.
Colonel Saeed indicated that the smart reservation system for violating vehicles supports the preservation of the vehicle from being affected by different weather conditions, while it was seized in the reservation yard at the General Command. He confirmed that the Umm Al Quwain Police General Command is ready to start receiving smart reservation requests from dealers wishing to reserve their vehicles in their homes.
